Diagnostic Services:

Setty Dental offers a broad range of diagnostic imaging to aid in your treatment planning. Our services include thorough visual examinations, digital X-rays, Intra Oral camera, Oral cancer screening using special light and personal case planning and consultation.

Dental radiographs, or X-rays, are an important part of a thorough dental examination. They can expose hidden dental decay; reveal a dental abscess, cyst or tumor; show impacted or extra teeth; and also help determine the condition of fillings, crowns, bridges and root canals. Dental X-rays can also reveal bone loss from periodontal (gum) disease, locate tartar buildup, find foreign bodies within the gum or bone, and see if there is enough bone for the placement of dental implants. These are just some of the many reasons why dentists rely on dental X-rays.

Digital X-rays is the new technology which has great advantage of about 80 percent reduction in radiation compared to the conventional film dental X-rays, no need for film or processing chemicals, production of a nearly instantaneously image, and the ability to use color contrast in the image, zoom the images for better views and aid in precise diagnosis of dental disease.

Endodontics:

When the soft tissue inside the tooth gets infected or inflamed, Endodontic (Root Canal Treatment) treatment is necessary to save that tooth. Root canal therapy involves the removal of damaged dental pulp (the soft tissue composed of nerves and blood vessels inside the canal of the tooth). After the root canal treatment we place a crown or other restoration to protect the tooth and to restore its function. Saving the natural tooth if possible is the best possible option to treat damaged teeth. If you are interested in knowing more about these make an appointment to visit Setty Dental.

Researchers have found that people with gum disease are almost twice as likely to suffer from coronary artery disease.

Pregnant women who have periodontal disease may be seven times more likely to have a baby that is born too early and too small.

Diabetic patients are more likely to develop periodontal disease, which in turn can increase blood sugar and diabetic complications.
Bacteria in your mouth can be aspirated into the lungs to cause respiratory diseases such as pneumonia, especially in people with gum disease.
At Setty Dental we evaluate all our new and Recare patients for periodontal (gum) problems thoroughly and offer wide range of services to control and prevent further progression of the gum disease. Some signs of gum disease include Persistent swollen, red or bleeding gums, tooth sensitivity, and bad breath are among the warning signs of periodontal (gum) disease. Untreated gingivitis can advance to periodontitis and eventually lead to tooth loss and other health problems. Our dentists at Setty Dental believe that periodontal health should be achieved in the least invasive manner. This is often accomplished through non-surgical periodontal treatment, including scaling and root planing (a careful cleaning of the root surfaces to remove plaque and calculus [tartar] from deep periodontal pockets and to smooth the tooth root to remove bacterial toxins, followed by adjunctive therapy such as local delivery antimicrobials and host modulation, as needed on a case-by-case basis and severity of the disease.. If you are interested in knowing more about these services please make an appointment to visit Setty Dental.

We offer wide range of services to our younger patients to maintain stable dentition.
